75 years of fellowship and growth
The Duke of Kent Lodge No. 5818 proudly celebrated its 75th anniversary from 1940 to 2015, a significant milestone chronicled in a dedicated book detailing its foundation and remarkable growth. Our lodge was named to honour the Royal title Duke of Kent, reflecting the founders' strong connection to the county and paying tribute to a prominent Mason of that era.

Key milestones and enduring connections
Founded amidst the challenging context of the early 1940s, our lodge has maintained a significant, long-standing presence in Maidstone. The choice of our name aligns with the Royal title, highlighting our deep connection to the County of Kent.

A tradition of warmth and brotherhood
At the heart of the Duke of Kent Lodge is a culture renowned for its warmth and welcoming atmosphere. We specifically host a cherished "Guests and Visitors" night every February, inviting new faces to experience our fellowship. Our lodge also maintains a close historical bond with Priory Lodge No. 5819, which was consecrated on the very same day in 1940, forging a shared legacy of brotherhood.
"The Duke of Kent Lodge truly embodies a spirit of camaraderie and tradition. Their welcoming nature made me feel at home from the very first visit."
