When are the Lodge Meetings ?

Our Masonic Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month from October to April.

On the other Fridays, we run our Lodge of Instruction (LOI) — relaxed evenings to practise ritual, build confidence, and strengthen friendships.

From mid-May, our Summer LOI meets every other Tuesday, keeping us connected and engaged in a more informal setting.

There’s always a warm welcome waiting.

Do Freemasons raise money for charity?

At Duke of Kent Lodge, charitable giving is at the heart of what we do. Supporting others—both within our community and beyond—is a core principle of Freemasonry, and our members take pride in making a positive, lasting difference. Our efforts are not occasional or informal; they are organised, purposeful, and ongoing.

1. Lodge Fundraising

Duke of Kent Lodge maintains a dedicated charitable fund, supported by contributions from our members as well as proceeds from events held throughout the year.

Our fundraising activities often include:

Charity dinners and social evenings
Raffles and prize draws
Sponsored challenges and community activities
Local events that bring members and the wider community together

These events not only raise valuable funds but also strengthen the sense of fellowship that defines our lodge.

2. Supporting Meaningful Causes

We are proud to support a range of local charities and community initiatives, including food banks, healthcare services, schools, and other organisations that provide vital support in our area.

In addition to local causes, Duke of Kent Lodge also contributes to wider charitable efforts, including national Masonic charities and initiatives focused on healthcare, disaster relief, and community wellbeing.

“Since joining the lodge, I've been made so very welcome ”
