No Ordinary Lodge
About the Lodge
Founded in 1939, the lodge has been an active and valued part of the Masonic community for over 80 years, meeting at the Tovil Masonic Centre in Maidstone.
Named after the Duke of Kent, it maintains strong ties with the East Kent Province and a proud connection to wider Masonic traditions.
The lodge combines regular meetings with a friendly social atmosphere, often involving members’ families and friends. With a balanced mix of experienced and newer brethren, it continues to thrive while honouring its history and traditions.
Events
The annual White Table event, held each January, is when the outgoing Worshipful Master presents cheques to his chosen charities, while also giving those charities a chance to showcase their work. Open to members, guests, family, and friends, it is always well supported.
Additional fundraising takes place throughout the year, including a popular charity motorcycle ride organised by a Lodge member, followed by a barbecue. This event attracts strong support from members, families, friends, and visitors from other Lodges, raising significant funds for various causes.
Our legendary Ladies’ Night is another highlight, bringing together Masons and their partners to celebrate the Worshipful Master’s year in a relaxed and sociable setting.
